Yes. A 1000 reasons. I like the idea of buying a MacPro, but I can’t convince myself completely. I was wondering if you could help me finding a 1000 of good reasons to buy one (reasons why not to buy one are welcome too of course!). Just leave your reasons in the comments. Please, if you have more than 1 reason to give me try to keep the ratio comment/reason 1:1, this way it’ll be easier to know when we reach a 1000. I’ll really appreciate your help!

Two years ago I bought a Mac. A Powerbook G4 15″. Good machine, really good. And stylish nevertheless :-)

But that’s not why I love it so much; here are the 10 reasons why I won’t leave the Mac that easily… hopefully ever!

1. Unix permissions… Ah… Paradise if your friends often use your laptop and you don’t want them to mess up with your work files!
2. Exposè… What, was there once upon a time something called whatever-bar at the bottom of the screen?
3. Just the idea that the multi-touch iPhone technology will arrive sometime (hopefully soon) on the desktop screens!!
4. Drag & drop (the Apple way)
5. iTunes
6. Overall integration among the OS applications…
7. Skype for Mac…
8. Mail
9. No viruses
10. I convinced my best friend to buy a Mac too (at the time MacMini G4) and not only I didn’t have to repair is infected computer ever again… But he also bought a G4 17″ a few months later!

XML was created so that richly structured documents could be used over the web. The only viable alternatives, HTML and SGML, are not practical for this purpose.
